Rules for the Bradford Storm 12U Rep
Tournament
Ontario Baseball Association (OBA)
Rules shall apply. Subject to any exceptions as indicated in the following
rules.
1. The tournament will follow OBA tournament line up rules Sec RP2.8(d).
2. Tournament is broken into two (2) divisions consisting of four (4) teams in each division.
3. Each team will play three (3) games against teams in their division.
4. Standings will be determined by the numbers of points earned (2 for a win, 1 for a tie & 0 for a loss).
5. Games to start promptly on time as per schedule. There is a 15-minute grace period on the 1st games played on Friday.
6. No infield warm ups.
7. All games are 7 innings maximum. For round robin games there will be no new inning after 1 hour 45 minutes. For semi-finals no new inning after 2 hours. For championship game no new inning after 2 hours and 15 minutes.
8. For the semi-finals and championship games, when the game is tied at the end of regulation play, each team will begin the extra inning (and any subsequent inning) with a player on first and second, no outs. The placement of the runners of the extra inning will be determined by how the previous inning ended. The hitter with the last plate appearance in the previous inning will be placed at first base. The hitter with the second to last plate appearance in the previous inning will be placed at second base. All other Baseball Ontario rules remain in effect during extra innings.
9. For round robin play, if the home team is leading when curfew is reached in the bottom of the fifth or subsequent innings the game is stopped and the score at the time stands.
10. For all round robin games, the home team to be decided by the flip of a coin. The team traveling the farthest will call the toss for all games. For the semi-finals and finals, the higher seed determines home and away status.
11. The home team is to keep the official score and report the final game score and pitch counts to the Convenor table.
12. The official pitch count will be kept by the visiting team. O.B.A. pitching rules will be strictly enforced.
13. Line up cards must be presented prior to the game.
14. Any protest will be resolved on the field by the Tournament Convenor. There will be no protest of an umpire's judgment call.
15. Any player, coach or manager ejected by an umpire from the sanctioned tournament game is suspended for 1 game, and this to be the next scheduled game in that tournament.
16. The tournament schedule may be revised in case of rain or other delays.
17. Managers and coaches are responsible for the conduct of anyone involved with their team.
18. Tournament awards will be set at eighteen (18) per team.
19. Absolutely NO alcoholic beverages are permitted in the parks.
20. The Bradford Minor Baseball Association and its officials accept no responsibility for any injuries to anyone in the parks during the tournament.
21. No bat boys/girls unless they are on your roster and must wear helmet and closed toe shoes.
