Bradford Minor Baseball Association will be offering a development camp Spring 2026!
The camp is geared for those born between the years of 2017 and 2021 and have
NOT been a part of our Rep or Select Programs.
As an intro to baseball, we will focus on the basics of the game including catching and throwing as well as hitting, while making sure the kids have fun learning these skills and getting ready for the 2025 season!
Catching - focus will be on how to properly field a baseball with their glove and to help eliminate the "fear" of the baseball coming at them. We will introduce fielding basics, proper footwork when fielding, and preparing to make the throw.
Throwing - focus will be on proper throwing technique, how to use your feet and legs when throwing and becoming more accurate with the throw.
Hitting - focus will be on basic swing mechanics with an introduction to hitting off of the pitching machine.
By the end of the 6 week program, the goal is for each athlete to be more comfortable and confident in the skills of the game. One of the biggest challenges at these ages is the "fear" of a pitching machine, or of being hit by a batted baseball. We will show these young players that there is in fact nothing to be afraid of, and how fun the game can be!!
